内容は下記のとおり、タルドの論文3本の英訳になるようです。
Despite the recent engouement for Gabriel Tarde across the social sciences and humanities, very little of the French sociologist’s extensive corpus has yet been translated. This forthcoming volume will make available to anglophone readers three of Tarde’s seminal essays, two of which were previously untranslated and the third now out of print. Each essay will be annotated and commented on by an contemporary social scientist, and the whole will form not just a crucial complement to The Social After Gabriel Tarde, but a key reference work in its own right.

Candea氏を中心にして？イギリス人類学のなかでのタルド受容が広まっている、とみるべきなのでしょうか。そういえば、The Social After Gabriel Tardeのあとがき英国社会人類学の大物のMarilyn Strathernでしたね。

翻訳されたのは「モナド論と社会学」、「社会学の二つの要素」（1895年の国際社会学会年報第一号に掲載された、デュルケム『方法の規準』へのタルドの反論として知られ、社会の基本要素を意識の伝達と変容であるとした有名な箇所のあるsociologie élémentaire論文。それが後の論文集Etudes de psychologie sociale(1898)に収められたときのタイトル）、そし『哲学評論』に掲載されたタルドの最初の論文「信念と欲望」で、それぞれ注、コメントが付いているのがありがたいところです。
個人的には「政治経済学における心理学」、「価値の二つの意味」、「自然のダーウィニズムと社会のダーウィニズム」といったところも重要論文だったので、そちらも英訳されたりすれば、、、と今後に期待。でもこの本がでればさらに英米圏でのタルド受容・再評価が進むのはたしかでしょう。
本自体は、2011年4月30日刊行予定とのこと。
